On April 22, the Berlin Business Desk China, The Drivery China, and automotive Berlin Brandenburg e.V. jointly hosted the event themed “MOBILITY BEYOND BORDERS – Accelerated by Your Berlin Mobility Ecosystem” at the Pinghu Right Pioneer International Innovation Center in Shanghai. With around 60 participants, the event aimed to close in on dialogue between Berlin and Asia’s mobility ecosystems while highlighting Berlin’s role as a dynamic and innovative hub for cross-border mobility collaboration.
The event brought together companies, entrepreneurs, and industry experts from Germany, China, and Korea to explore synergies in automotive technologies, digital solutions, and international cooperation. Institutions represented included VDA QMC China, the China Society of Automotive Engineers, automotive Berlin Brandenburg e.V., Berlin Business Desk China, and The Drivery China.
Moderated by Scofield Liang from The Drivery China, the evening opened with a series of welcoming addresses: Mr. Stefan Bücke, representing VDA QMC China, underscored the importance of international quality standards and cooperation across markets; Ms. Lili Lu, from the China Society of Automotive Engineers, highlighted China’s openness to deeper collaboration with Berlin’s innovation ecosystem; and Mr. Harald Bleimeister, speaking on behalf of aBB e.V. and a delegation of around 40 members, emphasized Berlin’s leading role in driving cross-border mobility initiatives.

After an introduction by Yiran Li about the mobility ecosystem in Berlin, we had a very meaningful and vibrant discussion moderated by BBDC’s Benedict Pham, touching on topics such as opportunities and challenges in international cooperation, cross-border management, and emerging technical trends within the mobility sector.
The final session of the evening featured a dynamic pitch event, during which six innovative companies each delivered a five- to ten-minute presentation in front of the audience: COMAN Software; CCVOSSEL GmbH; D-LABS GmbH; cogniBIT; AutoIO Technology Co., Ltd.; and ViniqAI. The pitches offered valuable insights into current trends and technologies important for the future of mobility.
Concluding with a lively networking session accompanied by a buffet, the event offered participants the opportunity to exchange ideas, deepen connections, and explore potential future collaborations.
The Berlin Business Desk China sincerely thanks all partners and participants for their valuable contributions to this successful event. Special thanks to the Pinghu Economic Development Zone (PEDZ) and the World of Art Brut Culture (WABC) for their generous support.
