Yesterday, we had the great pleasure, to be guest in the Plug and Play Headquarter in Beijing where we conducted our event about the Berlin start-up ecosystem and innovation environment together. We thank Rebecca Xie and Tianyang Zhang very much for organizing and hosting the event offline and online.

Norbert Herrmann from Startup Affairs, Senatsverwaltung für Wirtschaft, Energie und Beitrieb, has introduced how important Startups are for Berlin and what Berlin has done for Berliner Startups. Dennis Wilkens from Germany Trade & Invest gave a comprehensive overview about the market opportunities for Chinese Startups and Tech companies in the mobility & logistics, new energy, industry 4.0 and life sciences sectors, which are also key industries in Berlin, and Sandra Schulze from Berlin Partner introduced the Berlin Startup Ecosystem and what kind of support you will get when opening a business location in Berlin.
 
Furthermore, Yiran Li, Dr. Xiaolong Ma from Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, and Dr. Nan Wang from Jina AI shared their insights about trends, challenges and opportunities for tech companies from China going abroad.
