On November 10th, on behalf of the Berlin Government, Berlin Senate Department for Economic, Energy and enterprises, Dr. Rainer Seider opened the 5th China (Shenzhen) Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition (IEIC), the German Division Final, which was held this year hybrid in Berlin and Shenzhen. In his speech, Dr. Seider introduced Berlin as the Capital of Startups in Europe and underlined the internationalization interests of startups to get access to markets, finances and talents. That is also one of the reasons why we set up the Berlin Business Desk in China, to help the startups from both regions to go abroad. We appreciate that City Shenzhen organized this competition, this platform for Startups and held the German Division final in Berlin.

As Berlin and Shenzhen matched perfectly with their startup ecosystems, Dr. Seider invited enterprises and startups from Shenzhen to come to Berlin, to join our AsiaBerlin Summit, as the biggest platform to connect the startup ecosystems of Europe and Asia. Vice versa, Berlin companies and startups should also visit China for business as soon as possible. The offline communication should and could never be replaced through the online format.

We wish the 5th IEIC have a great success, and the Startups from Germany could have great achievements in the competition.
