From September 23rd to 25th, the S-Tron 2025 Tech Innovation Event was successfully held in Shanghai. The event brought together more than 2,700 startups, over 200 speakers, and around 3,500 investment institutions from across the globe. Under the theme “Ignite the Future”, the event served as a platform to showcase cutting-edge technological achievements and accelerate the development of Zukunftsindustrien (Future Industries).
Ms. Li Yiran (李怡燃), Chief Representative of Berlin in China, and Mr. Marten Rauschenberg, CEO of AsiaBerlin, attended as representatives of Berlin’s dynamic startup ecosystem. They joined key sessions including Frontiers Night, Oasis Stage, and Echo Stage, engaging in dialogue and sharing insights with innovators worldwide.
The Frontiers Night session brought together representatives from more than 20 international innovation and incubation institutions, government and corporate organizations, as well as research institutes. Discussions focused on global experiences in entrepreneurship and innovation, along with opportunities for cross-border cooperation in technology. In her remarks, Ms. Li Yiran highlighted the role of the Berlin Business Desk China, emphasizing its commitment to supporting Chinese innovation and technology companies. She outlined Berlin’s efforts to streamline the establishment process for these firms and to facilitate their integration into the city’s vibrant innovation ecosystem.
During the Echo Stage roundtable discussion, titled “Innovation Beyond Borders: Sino-German Partnerships Are Redefining Global Innovation”, Ms. Li Yiran joined Mr. Marten Rauschenberg, Mr. Christoph Hering (Director, Innovation Center of AHK Greater China), and Mr. Christoph Weber (General Manager China, AutoForm). Through case-based discussions, Ms. Li Yiran provided an in-depth analysis of key factors shaping Sino-German innovation and economic cooperation. She also offered practical guidance for Chinese companies exploring localization in Berlin and proposed new approaches from a Berlin perspective to deepen bilateral collaboration and explore opportunities in third markets.
