Daniel Keller, the Minister for Economic Affairs, Labour, Energy and Climate Action of the State of Brandenburg, visited Berlin Business Desk China (BBDC)

On the afternoon of 20 October, Daniel Keller, the Brandenburg Minister for Economic Affairs, Labour, Energy and Climate Action, visited the Berlin Business Desk China. Accompanying him were ministry officials Oliver Schmidt, Georg Heyn and Marie-Sybill von Dulong, as well as Sebastian Saule, the State of Brandenburg's Managing Director of Economic Development.  

During the visit, Ms. Li Yiran, Chief Representative at Berlin Business Desk China (BBDC), first welcomed Mr. Keller and his delegation and introduced the history and recent work priorities of the BBDC. She then analysed the current Chinese economic situation and outlined potential opportunities for German companies entering the Chinese market, drawing on Berlin's experience. Furthermore, she highlighted key Berlin partner institutions in China, including the Fraunhofer Representative Office Beijing, the German Centre, and the Helmholtz Representative Office Beijing. She expressed a warm welcome to Brandenburg's intention to strengthen its economic and trade cooperation with China and conveyed Berlin's willingness to collaborate in order to foster friendship and explore new areas of partnership.

Mr. Keller expressed his appreciation of Berlin's promotional and cooperation strategies in China, sharing relevant experiences and insights from Brandenburg. He noted his hope to learn from Berlin's insightful practices to better connect Brandenburg companies with Chinese counterparts and looked forward to working jointly to elevate exchanges and cooperation with China to a new level.

The meeting further strengthened collaborative relations within the capital region of Germany. Looking ahead, the Berlin Business Desk China will continue to serve as a bridge between regions such as Brandenburg. It will enhance coordination within the capital region and share resources and information in China. The desk will also help businesses from both regions seize opportunities in the Sino-German market.
