The 29th ITS World Congress, one of the most influential and comprehensive international congresses in the field of intelligent transportation systems, has successfully taken place in Suzhou. Berlin had the honour to host the fourth ITS World Congress in 1997.

On Oct 18th, we have successfully supported our colleagues from Berlin Partner, Wolfgang Treinen and Sandra Schulze, to organize a panel discussion on this great event about the challenges and innovative solutions from China and Europe - in particular Suzhou/Shanghai and Berlin. After Yiran Li delivered a welcome address in the name of the Berlin Government, Mr. Xiaojing Wang, Chairman of the China ITS Industry Alliance, gave us a keynote speech about the challenges and solutions in the transportation system in the urban area Shanghai-Suzhou. Together with him and Sandra Schulze, Dr. Xueming Ju, Founder and CEO of LiangDao, and Scofield Liang, GM from The Divery Shanghai, joined our panel discussion and shared their insights about the latest advancements of autonomous driving technologies, the different approaches between China and Europe in the new mobility sector, and the startup ecosystem in Berlin.

In the evening, we had a special Berlin dinner reception with more than 26 VIP guests from companies and organisations from Berlin and China in the field of ITS to introduce the work of the Berlin Business Desk China  and Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technologie GmbH, and to discover more opportunities of cooperation between China and Berlin. We are very happy to be part of the ITS world and make a lot of new friends for Berlin, in China.
